Route Management Dashboard
Overview
The Route Management dashboard lets you add and edit the route segments that define your virtual race course. Segments chain together to form the complete route, with each segment carrying photos, stories, and milestones that racers unlock as they accumulate miles.
Accessing the Dashboard
From your race's dashboard hub, click Route management in the sidebar under SETUP.
Route Segments
A route is made up of one or more segments. Each segment represents a stretch of the virtual course with a start point, end point, and distance. Segments include:
- Start and end locations — geographic points that define the path
- Distance — how many miles this segment covers
- Photos and stories — content racers unlock as they travel through the segment
- Google Street View — immersive views at waypoints along the segment
Adding & Editing Segments
Click + to add a new segment, or click an existing segment to edit it. When creating a segment, you specify the start and end points and Racery calculates the distance along the path.
Racery offers a library of pre-built routes that you can use as-is or customize. Work with the Racery team to design a completely custom route.
Segment Order & Distance
Segments are displayed in order, chaining together to form the complete route. The total route distance is the sum of all segment distances. You can reorder segments to change the race path.
Tip: The route length appears at the top of the dashboard (e.g., "Route length: 69.5 miles"). Make sure it matches the distance you set in Race Details.
Route Preview
After saving changes, preview the route on the interactive map to verify that segments connect correctly and the path follows your intended course. The map shows the same view racers see on the live race page.
