Distance Progress Emails Dashboard
Overview
The Distance Progress Emails dashboard (called Milestone email dashboard in the sidebar) lets you configure automated emails that are sent to racers when they reach specific mileage thresholds. These emails celebrate progress, encourage continued participation, and keep racers engaged throughout the race.
Accessing the Dashboard
From your race's dashboard hub, click Milestone email dashboard in the sidebar under CONTENT.
How It Works
Milestone emails are triggered by distance. When a racer's cumulative mileage crosses a threshold you've set, Racery automatically sends the corresponding email. Each racer receives the email only once per milestone.
Example milestones for a 100-mile race:
- 25 miles — "You're a quarter of the way there!"
- 50 miles — "Halfway! Keep up the amazing work."
- 75 miles — "The finish line is in sight!"
- 100 miles — "You did it! Congratulations on finishing!"
Configuring Milestones
For each milestone, you set:

| Body content | The email message — supports HTML and template variables |
| Enabled | Toggle the milestone on or off |
Email Content & Variables
Milestone emails support template variables for personalization. Common variables include:
{{first_name}}— racer's first name{{nickname}}— racer's display name{{total_miles}}— racer's current total mileage{{race_name}}— name of the race{{team_name}}— racer's team name (if applicable)
Tip: Personalized emails with the racer's name and specific mileage create a stronger emotional connection. Use an encouraging, celebratory tone that matches your race's personality.
vs. Announcement Emails
Distance progress emails and announcement emails serve different purposes:
